Established in 2020, PrimaBuild offers expertise for clients from concept to completion in construction, Project Management, Commercial and Residential builds. Building Ireland touched base with company co-director Robert Landy to discuss the ins and outs of the business, its current projects and plans going forward.
Business has continually growing for PrimaBuild and the goal is to keep things that way right through to next year and beyond.
Operating with 12 full-time direct staff, the company is in the process of organising a move from its original base at 77 Camden Street, Lower Dublin 2 to a new premises in Donabate more suited to the growing needs of the company.
The move follows an expansion which PrimaBuild plans to make that will see the company’s staff numbers doubled 12 months from now as they introduce new services in energy upgrades.
Building Ireland caught up with Robert recently to learn more about the services that the firm offers clients along with what keeps them ahead of the competition.
“As Main Contractors we provide services in both Residential and Commercial sectors from New build to Fitout, turnkey solutions as well as Design and Build. We have also recently launched PrimaBuild Energy Solutions where we provide retrofitting and energy upgrades to existing buildings,” explains Robert..
Since its inception three years ago, PrimaBuild has grown into a thriving Commercial and Residential Construction Company that specialise in New Builds, Interior Fitouts to Corporate Office Spaces, Retail, Hospitality and Healthcare sectors.
Both Robert and Eamon have earned valued experience in the industry, delivering high-quality award-winning projects to the highest standards all across Ireland for many years.
The company promises excellence in Construction Project Management, Commercial and Residential builds, Category A & B fitouts, Mechanical and Electrical upgrade installations, as well as full Design and Build.
Born in midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, PrimaBuild has still managed a steady rise and, as Robert explained, he and his business partner’s contacts and experience in the construction industry were key in getting things off the ground which we are grateful for their support in.
Primabuild have completed a number projects from office fit-outs to high spec residential liaising with a number of Design and Project Management teams.
“Business is going well. We are busy with a number of live projects covering commercial fitouts to high spec residential as well as completing a number of school projects where we have been building new sensory rooms over the summer months. We also have a strong pipeline of projects commencing in the final quarter of 2023 and into 2024,” he said.
So, the burning question is, what has been the secret behind the company’s success?
How has a small start-up grown into what is now a thriving construction business which is continuing in its growth and holds an excellent reputation amongst its clientele?
For Robert, it comes down to a combination of different factors, although he cites two in particular that stand out.
“I think it’s down to our experience and a lot hard work. We have been fortunate to work with fantastic teams since we started out and our main focus at all times is to deliver to the highest quality for our clients.
“We are both from similar backgrounds growing in the industry starting out as carpenters and building our knowledge and expertise with hard work over the past 25 years. With this we understand every element of the building which grows confidence in clients and design teams.”
Looking at the months ahead for the business, Robert is as optimistic as ever and says that the objective for Eamon and him going forward is to carry on growing and developing their construction venture with further investment in training for our current and future staff and continuous development always at the forefront of the business.
“We have a lot of projects that are in the pipeline and at the pre-construction stage,” said the Dublin native.
“At the moment, growth is what we’re focusing on and making sure that our quality management plans are in place and that it’s carried out.
“As well as that, both of us want to continue developing within the business and expand on that as much as possible.”
He concluded: “Primabuild is about delivering excellence to the Client and Design team by listening to their needs and managing their build to the high standards.”
