Sigma Homes has grown exponentially in the past few years to employ over 130 people and many more on a subcontract basis. Its growing team of highly-talented architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and builders are dedicated to creating modern and sustainable homes. The company has all the necessary personnel under one roof – pre-site, planning, onsite, post-handover and warranty – and has worked very hard on improving its internal procedures and offering to past, present and future clients.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Sigma Homes continued to keep its customers at the centre of everything it does. The company is now back to starting at least one new project every Monday morning and handing over a future-proofed home every Friday afternoon without fail.
“We’re going from strength to strength,” Office & Sales Manager Eilís Fleming enthuses.
“Our demand in business is high, which we are so grateful for, and as our offerings have improved, it has allowed us to take on additional clients, starting more than one project on occasional Mondays and handing back more than one property on a Friday. Typically, we run 12 projects at one time.”
Sigma Homes’ 10-year building warranty and 20-year flat roofing warranty is an obvious selling point. “It ensures confidence in our clients and gives them peace of mind. This is priceless in itself. We stand over everything we do,” Eilís says.

“Our quotes are highly competitive and we also have shorter timelines to counterattack rent costs for clients who move out of their home while it’s being renovated or extended,” Eilís continues.
“We design individually to our clients’ needs, priorities, budgets and wish-lists, and have the professional knowhow to understand how emotional these projects are for our clients, how life-changing they are and how we need to be a consistent support.
“Our design and build team work primarily within a 30-40-minute radius of our office in Douglas. This is a testament to our team as there is no better advertising than word of mouth. Most of our clients contact us, having had a personal recommendation to watch the significant progress of a neighbour or relative’s home in real time.”
Eilís is one of a number of new team members Sigma Homes is delighted to have welcomed on board in recent times. Some of her duties include assisting Sales & Marketing Manager Patrick O’Brien, helping potential clients with their initial enquiries, assisting the design team with workload management and coordination, and improving procedures and policies internally.
In addition, the Killarney native is involved in the running of the company’s new website, which went live on September 9 last, and works on Sigma’s 10-year warranty with site managers, subcontractors and clients, completes a snagging review and then an action plan to ensure clients’ new future-proofed homes are fully to their satisfaction.
Interior Architect Chantal Shiels is another new face who provides a complimentary service to all onsite clients, assisting them with their finishes and furnishings. Chantal also assists clients with shopping days / trips and managing their suggested interior budgets. She works closely with Sigma Homes’ site managers and Senior Contracts Manager David Holmes, who all have a wealth of experience.
Siobhán McGarry is Sigma Homes’ new Design Manager & Estimator who engages with clients to provide important estimates during their design journey. Siobhán boasts a very impressive CV and has been warmly welcomed by clients. She collaborates with Sigma’s quantity surveying department under the watchful eye of Senior Quantity Surveyor Ian O’Connell, who has been part of the team for over 10 years and has a very strong construction background.
Senior Architects Nuria Pallarols and Lino Aiello have also made a big impression since joining the company. Their incredible designs can be viewed on Sigma Homes’ social media channels where they have received glowing reviews from scores of satisfied clients. Both architects have national and international experience, and work in consistent harmony together – it’s beautiful to watch!
